Hi, I'm Maricela McKenzie and I’m the CEO of Clarida Strategies.  I help Cleantech leaders reduce sales cycles and boost close rates in 8 weeks – without sacrificing margin or mission. 

I bring decades of experience driving growth in the energy and cleantech space, leading sales and strategy at Tesla, Rivian, EVBox and ChargerHelp. Along the way, I've built and scaled sales teams and mentored over a dozen sales executives into leadership roles. 

My Story


At the beginning of 2025, after a 30-year career building and scaling sales teams in energy and cleantech, I was thriving—doubling revenues at a startup. But when the company shifted its focus, I found myself at a crossroads, rethinking my next move.

As I reflected on my career, I realized a common challenge: Cleantech CEOs and sales executives are often stretched thin, leading them to deprioritize strategic sales planning. This rush to market can backfire, slowing growth with long sales cycles and giving competitors an edge. I witnessed several cleantech companies experience layoffs, and it became clear to me that there was a more effective way to drive sales, faster. I knew I had a unique approach to make it happen.
